The courses are taken by Kirsty, a qualified tutor at 'The silver zebra studio' set in the heart of the Cheshire countryside.

Learn the basics of working with new bronze metal clay. Bronze clay is extra strong and economical. This workshop will cover firing methods and how to get a range of patinas and surface techniques. Its is perfect for those larger pieces of jewellery like flat chokers, & bangles. Beautiful textures will be applied to your bronze clay using copper etched plates.
Dan Haab has a clever and easy method for making simple copper etched plates which are incredibly detailed and can be used to texture clay. Once you see the difference copper plates make for texturing metal clay, they will soon become one of your favorite metal clay tools. The plates are the one thing in Sherri's toolbox students most often want to learn how to make and use. Design ideas will be discussed and demonstrated using the plates.
Sherri Haab is the author of over 23 craft books, including "The Art of Metal Clay", "The Art of Resin Jewelry" and "Metal Clay and Mixed Media".
Dan Haab has a degree in Engineering MSEE with over 6 patents to his name. He is also a photographer, with many of Sherri's books to his credit. He has photographed work for Disney, Scholastic and Klutz just to name a few.
ART CLAY BASICS: October 3rdand October 4th
This workshop is suitable for novices as well as those more familiar with working with Art Clay Silver. The workshop lasts for about 5 hours and will introduce you to all the basics of handling the clay, shaping, texturising etc. Also including is the finishing aspects of Art Clay Silver enabling a professional result.
The Cost of this workshop is £75.00 which includes the Silver to make 3 pieces of Jewellery and the use of all tools
Mixed Media ART CLAY SILVER AND GLASS September 26th FULL
During this workshop you will learn the basics of firing glass into cabochons, an understanding of working with glass and how to combine this with Silver Clay. You will make a Pendant which will utilise provided glass cabochons. You will also learn the finishing techniques to produce a professional item.
The Cost of this course is £110 which includes all Silver Clay & full use of all tools & glass cabochons. Experience of working with Silver Clay is necessary to attend this workshop

This workshop introduces you to working with 22CT Art CLay Gold Paste, you will make a substantial lentil bead which is a bold focal pendant. You will learn how to make this piece as well as the application of the 22 CT Gold paste and this special firing and finishing procedures for this item. you will also learn how to make the leather thong with findings which it hangs from. You will also make a pair of sterling silver wire earrings on this course, incorporating wire work and balancing your wire design on your chosen posts or french wires.
The Cost of this workshop is £115 which includes all of the Silver Clay, the use of the Gold Clay Paste, findings and full use of all tools required to make this exceptional piece.

FINGERPRINT JEWELLERY USING ART CLAY SILVER:

This workshop is suitable for novices as well as those more familiar with working with Art Clay Silver. During this workshop you will be taught how to capture a fingerprint onto Silver Clay, the preparation of the Silver Clay, adding names and dates or a kiss, Setting gemstones plus all of the finishing techniques to enable a professional standard. Especially important if you wish to start your own business. The Cost of this course is £110 which includes all of the clay use of tools, gemstones and findings needed
RING MAKING USING ART CLAY SILVER

Create your very own customised rings
This workshop teaches you how to make two different types of rings. You will learn how to design, make and finish your rings to a high standard. You will learn how to set a stone, measure for the perfect fit, add texture or syringe patterns. This workshop is suitable for those with some experience of metals clay. The cost included all materials (20 g of clay) and full use of tools as required
All Courses are taught by a Fully qualified Level 2 Art Clay Senior Instructor.
